Livity Dambaza (geb.1981)
Livity Dambaza was born 1981 in Raffingora near Guruve (North-Zimbabwe) and attended Nyanhunzi Primary and Chifamba Secondary schools. After school Livity and Kudzanai Dambaza joined their uncle Godfrey Mutenga and helped him finishing his sculptures. Mutenga taught them stone sculpting and up from 2000 they started to sculpt their first works in abstract forms.
Livity Dambaza says he mostly enjoys working on Guruve colourful stones which brings beauty and assorted colours which are commonly found in the nearby mine near their home. But Livity is also working with the hard black Springstone as well as the Chiweshe stone, cobalt and opal stones.
